Its use of thought-provoking quotes, stunning black and white Toronto landmark photos, and a limited colour palette for the layout make the brochure a sophisticated marketing piece – perfect for communicating with their potential high-net-worth clients.

The owners of Phinn Crating came to us with a request: design a brochure, about their custom crating services, that just begged to be opened. So our team unpacked their creativity and produced a die cut brochure that looks like an unopened crate when it’s folded.

Want a brochure that’s easy to mail and display, but has more room than a standard letter-size (8.5″ x 11″) trifold? A legal size (8.5″ x 14″) brochure has 4 panels on each side instead of 3. The additional length allows for creativity in the layout, as it can be folded like an accordion, a roll, a gate, or in the double-parallel formation shown here.
To create this effective brochure for Parker Pet Care, we went on location and photographed the staff interacting with the dogs and cats. Then our graphic designers used those images, together with the text our copywriters wrote, to emphasize the personal attention Parker Pet Care is known for.

Unisync has hired Walden to create catalogues for several of their brands. Shown here is one of the 44-page catalogues we’ve designed for their Hammill workwear line.
We photographed all of their clothing in our studio using “ghost photography” techniques (making the clothing look like it is being worn), then complemented this with photos we took on construction sites and other locations. This was a fun one for us, as several Walden staff members volunteered as models in the shots. Then our copywriters and graphic design team tied all of the elements together.
The Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH) is one of 13 institutes that comprise the Government of Canada’s health research agency: The Canadian Institutes of Health Research. IHDCYH hired Walden to source appropriate stock photos and design the report for their 2013-2017 strategic plan.
