Edgar Mendoza may work as Walden’s creative director, but you’ll never catch him calling it “work.” “For me, great design is like a game – a chess game,” says Edgar. “Each project is a fresh puzzle to solve.”
After a degree in graphic design, and studies in product photography and sales management, Edgar spent eleven years running his own respected design firm in Mexico. Product packaging, advertising, and in-store signage were his agency’s specialties, for clients that included Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and 3M.
In Canada since 2007, Edgar’s passion is now the big opportunities for providing small business marketing materials. “I love the variety of businesses we help. Projects like detailed websites and product packaging are my favourite challenges, because they have many different components that need to work in concert.” In his designs, just as in his masterful job managing Walden’s creative department, we see Edgar as an expert at bringing together many elements, to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
