Package Design for Alcoholic Beverage


San Lazaro, the Mexican company that makes Valleti liqueur, wanted to refresh the brand’s image. With twenty-one varieties, they required a consistent label design that would identify the Valleti brand, while clearly indicating the individual flavours.

Since many of the bottles would be in dark night clubs, or on store shelves amongst competitive products, Edgar Mendoza, Walden's creative director, suggested bright colours for the labels. He chose fruit images to represent the liqueur's flavour and repeated the colour on the label design. The fonts he selected are classy, yet hip enough to appeal to a wide range of consumers.
